Ready to join CAP as an active adult or youth member? Here’s how to get started.
Step 1. Come to one of our squadron meetings.
Coming to a squadron meeting is a great way to get to know the people at the squadron and how everything runs.
We meet every Wednesday night from 1830 – 2100 hours (6:30pm – 9:00pm) at 7000 Merrill Ave, Chino, CA 91710, located at Chino Airport next door to Flo’s Cafe. Our squadron requires prospective Cadets and Senior Members to attend three squadron meetings before they may continue to the application process. If you have any questions before attending a meeting please feel free to contact us by phone at (909) 644-6531 or email us.
Step 2. Membership Application ProcessOn your third meeting we will provide you with a membership application, fingerprint card (for adults), inform you of the amount of annual dues ($40 for Cadets and $79 for Senior Members), there are no squadron dues.
Download the membership applications here: SENIOR or CADET
NOTE: Applications without the squadrons commander’s signature will not be processed.
Step 3. Mail your completed application, fingerprint card (for adult members) and annual dues (made out to Civil Air Patrol) to:
Civil Air Patrol/DP
105 S. Hansell St Bldg 714
Maxwell AFB, AL 36112
Once CAP NHQ receives your application, it is date stamped and processed in order by the date it arrived. It usually takes around 2-3 business days for applications to be processed after they are received at National Headquarters. You will receive a new member email when your membership is successfully processed.
